I ain't gonna say Lil Wayne is the best alive coz I was raised off of Jay and Nas, BUT this kid is sick wit' his!!! He splits opinions right down the middle: You either look at him as a rapper with a tendancy to come out with a lot of B.S ('I'm on like the Television!?!'), or you look at the kid as one of Hip-Hop's shinning lights. Weezy F. just seems to enjoy what he's doing, takin' it back to when Hip-Hop was fun.

He has laced tracks by Caramac and the Last Skeptik, whilst retaining his own productions for his own forthcoming projects. Having just consolidated all his releases thus far and his background as an introduction on to his mixtape, “This Is My Promo vol. 1 and Vol. 2”, Sway is making a name for himself in the scene. Sway also represents a strong sense of unity in the UK Hip Hop scene, lacing grime tracks, working with garage artists and working with drum’n’bass crews, his ethic is that it’s all music and it’s all music he likes. Too much Caffine!

I remember back when Hip-Hop was fun!!

I don't think I will be playing Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Diplomats or Young Jeezy when I am in my 30's or 40's but I know that when I kick back I will have a listen to some Nas, Jay, Kanye, Common, De La Soul, Little Brother (Bring back 9th Wonder dudes), Outkast, Ghostface and definately some A Tribe Called Quest.

Why? Coz these are artists who have shown the ability to open up, have fun and make themselves vulnerable and in doing so they have aquired fans for life. No B.S, coz I have been listening to Hip-Hop since I was 9 years old (1st album was the Kriss Kross cassette), and I have seen many fads come and go. I enjoyed and listened but I stuck to my core of: Jay, Nas, Pac, Wu-Tang and B.I.G, and as I got older I wanted to listen to what the music before my time or what came out when I was too young to appreciate it was like.

Thats when I got into The Native Tongue Posse: De La Soul, ATCQ, Jungle Brothers, Black Sheep, Monie Love, et al. These guys knew that Hip-Hop was about fun, expression and being you, not some moulded puppet out for profit. This was hightlighted by A Tribe Called Quest.

And you can hear it in their music from 'Check The Rhime', 'Bonita Applebum', 'Award Tour', 'Can I Kick It?', 'Scenario', to 'Electric Relaxation'. I came across this DVD and I have to say I wish Rappers would switch it up and let their guard down. Who the f*ck wants to be hard 24-7.

But it aint all bad we have guy's like Kanye, Consequence, Lupe, Joe Budden (Don't ask me, just check his resume and then hop on the bandwagon. There is loadsa space), and Sway Desafo to add to the Legends holding down this thing we call Hip-Hop.

Back in the day it was fun on a wider scale than it is today. But for now I kick back watch this Video full of Fun, Daring, and Undeniably Classic material.

Ricochet Klashnekoff is to me THE doppest talent on the UK Hip Hop scene at the moment. K-Lash is the founder member of the Terra Firma, he doesnt label his music anything but that, Music, but does admit to drawing inspiration from a bank of talent that reads like a trans-genre hall of fame, with appearances from the likes of David Bowie and Bob Marley. Wherever or whatever his brand of Hip Hop there is no doubt that it has definitely quenched the underground's thirst for something different.

After the Nas battle and the release of The Bluerint, Hov took a welcome break to Europe. Whilst he was away Dame attempted to promote Cam'ron to Vice-President of Roc-a-Fella but Jay wasnt felling that coz Beans and Bleek had been down wit the Roc for longer. Forget the other stories this was the first indication of cracks in the Roc.

After that Dame tried to throw his weight around by signing random dudes to The R.O.C: Twista, O.D.B, M.O.P, Joe Budden, Posh Spice (W.T.F!!). Dude was ruining the reputation of a reputed rap label.

However, Beans has announced that he is still signed with The R.O.C so the '07 line up consists of: Jay, Bleek, Freeway, Beans, The Young Gunz, Tru Life and Uncle Murda.

If Jay plays this right he has a deadly army of Hardcore Eastcoast spitters to balance against the R'n'B and Southern Rap that Def Jam have been successful promoting.

Beanie Sigel is Fire, Bleek is underated, Freeway has a deadly flow (Peep the links), Young Chris of The Young Gunz is a Problem, Tru Life is an Improving M.C and Uncle Murda is Too Believable.

The Next step for Jay-Z should be to round up his troops and do another Hot 97 Takeover on either the Flex or Angie Show. Shut down NY City, Take out Diplomats once and for all, and set up anticipation for the upcoming albums from Beanie, Freeway and Bleek. Then Jay can shut sh*t down and release an album influenced by hunger of the M.C's around him.

Hova warmin' things up on the R'n'B tip!!

Jay seems to support his R'n'B projects to the core. Point in case his verses on these songs on as yet released projects. These songs will create a more than decent buzz for the albums, but as a fan of Hip-Hop I would've loved Jay to have jumped on the Method Man, Ghostface, Redman or The Roots album.

Dude has been killing the remixes this year! Seems as though the passion for Rap is back. He was ALWAYS dope and anyone who has listened to Outkast, as opposed to hearing them, knows that he's one of the top MC's from our generation (I'm an 80's Baby).

Forget all the experimental singing/crooning projects coz when it comes to spitting 16's nothin' but flames are comin' out!

The kid's solo album in the Summer will be Classic material if he keeps up this form.

Easy Ya'll!! Just bored on a Sunday messing about on my Laptop (Finally got it back after 4 weeks in repair), and I got into a Native Tongues Vibe (ATCQ, De La, Black Sheep, etc). So I thought why not collate some sh*t together on the net??

I will be posting stuff from Hip-Hop, RnB, Reggae, Instrumentals, really just anything that comes to mind coz I listen to craploads of music. Expect any and EVERYTHING!!
